The Trans-Atlantic Platform
The Trans-Atlantic Platform for Social Sciences and Humanities (T-AP) is an international research funding initiative established in 2013 through a partnership of major social science and humanities funding agencies across North America, South America, and Europe, with support from organizations like the European Commission.
Created to overcome barriers to international collaboration, TAP funds large-scale, cross-national research projects that address global challenges such as democracy, governance, and social inequality. Since its launch, the platform has supported numerous multinational research initiatives, including projects on social innovation, pandemic recovery, and public trust, helping researchers generate insights that strengthen societies and inform policy worldwide.
